We are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of Scotland’s best catering companies. Quality food and quality service is what sets us apart, as well as the variety of services we provide our clients.

In addition to our hospitality division, which includes bespoke catering services for weddings, corporate events and private parties, we also operate cafes at some of Scotland’s most renowned locations including the National Library of Scotland, Rosslyn Chapel and the Scottish Storytelling Centre. Each our cafés are supplied by local suppliers and our very own Saltire Patisserie, which provides us with the bakery and patisserie items for all of our Edinburgh cafés.

So, whether you are looking for a great lunch spot, a place to meet friends for coffee or a café where you can escape the office or the library and work, we have got the right place for you.

Rosslyn Chapel Coffee Shop

We are proud to work in partnership as the exclusive caters to Rosslyn Chapel, operating our Rosslyn Chapel Coffee Shop, which is open seven days a week with magnificent views over Roslin Glen.

Our menu has a strong emphasis on fresh local produce and we are proud to support local suppliers including Scottish Beverage Services, Bonaly Farm Dairy, Mark Murphy and Scottish meat suppliers who bring us fresh, delicious products from the Borders and Perthshire every day.

On offer each day is an array of freshly prepared tasty homemade soup, home baked bloomer bread sandwiches with a range of fillings to tickle your taste buds, and a delicious range of cakes and pastries.

We also serve seasonal selections throughout the year and our food is, of course, complemented by a wide range of hot and cold drinks, served by our specially trained baristas; perfect before or after a tour of the Chapel.

Please note, that due to current restrictions, you must book your ticket and time slot to visit the Chapel on their website in advance. Special offer for October – if you book between the 9am-10am slot, you can enjoy a tea or coffee & a scone for £4.

National Library of Scotland Café

Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s old town, our library café at the National Library of Scotland offers a range of quality snacks such as homemade soups, sandwiches, rolls, salads, and freshly prepared paninis, alongside a range of light snacks and a selection of hot and cold drinks. The menu reflects our commitment to fairtrade, healthy eating and caters for a variety of dietary requirements.

The café is currently closed due to COVID-19.

ClydeWalkway Cafe at Clyde Valley Family Park

Clyde Valley Family Park, situated in Carfin Estate in Crossford, is South Lanarkshire’s latest visitor attraction. The amusements & theme park is full of fun and a whole day out for the family!

There is animal walkways, Wallaby walks in the pen, Train Safari and NEW Farmyard Crazy Golf. They have also opened the sand pit (with new construction equipment!), outdoor playpark, go kart tracks, tractor pads, trampolines and jelly bellies. Their indoor barns will be open soon once restrictions are lifted.

Our ClydeWalkway cafe on site is open to both the public and members of the park. We are open every day from 10am-4pm serving up breakfast, brunch, snacks & lunch. The perfect place to refuel the kids, meet with friends & family or catch up over a coffee and cake from our very own Saltire Patisserie.

Cadell’s café at Cockenzie House & Gardens

Located in the picturesque seaside town of Cockenzie and Port Seton a few miles east of Edinburgh, Cockenzie House is a striking mansion, dating from the 17th century.

Stop by, relax and enjoy the ambience in our café located in the Secret Garden. With stunning views of the garden, our café is open seven days a week and is the perfect coastal stop for a tasty lunch or an afternoon tea.

The café is currently open everyday from 10am-4pm.

Back by popular demand! International tapas nights returning for the month of October – available to book on Friday 2nd, 16th or 30th. Please note, we can currently take bookings for up to 6 people across 2 different house holds and we also require a £10 deposit to secure the table. Call 0131 333 0131 to book a table.

The Hub Café at Edinburgh Tenchnopole

The Hub is located in the stunning historic parkland at the front of the Pentland Hills within the Edinburgh Technopole. The Hub has been created to provide a relaxing and comfortable space – perfect for staff members or a great place to catch up over a leisurely coffee or spot of lunch. The impressive space is also available for private entertaining. We are also dog friendly!

The café is currently open Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm and as of Saturday 3rd October, we will be open on weekends also.

We are offering afternoon teas at £15 per person in the cafe between 12pm-2pm. Afternoon teas must be booked in advance by calling 0131 333 0131.

Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway Café

We are proud to cater for Scotland’s heritage railway at Bo’ness, which runs a programme of relaxing day excursions allowing visitors to view the scenic splendour of Scotland or enjoy a trip to historic towns.

Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam served with a pot of coffee or tea aboard a lovingly restored steam train and pop in to our station buffet for everything from lunches and snacks to hot and cold drinks.

Lola’s North Charlotte Street

Located on North Charlotte Street Edinburgh, Lola’s is the newest addition to Cafes by Saltire. Our rustic coffee and sandwich bar is the perfect place to pop by and enjoy a bite to eat on the go. Serving up your morning caffeine fix, along with selection of breakfast, lunch, snacks and sweet treats, all of which is freshly prepared by our Lola’s team, made just how you like it! Open early Monday-Friday from 8.00am-3pm
